1. Overview
Naukri Auto-Apply Pro is a Chrome extension that helps a user apply to jobs on Naukri by using the user's saved profile, job-search settings, optional AI-generated answer support, and application history export.
2. Information the Extension Stores
The extension may store the following information in the user's local Chrome extension storage:
- candidate profile details such as name, email, phone number, LinkedIn URL, location, experience, notice period, and compensation details
- resume text and other form-fill inputs entered by the user
- search preferences such as keywords, locations, match filters, and apply limits
- API keys and AI provider settings entered by the user
- subscription status, access codes, installation ID, and optional admin access-check settings
- application history and runtime logs created by the extension
3. How the Information Is Used
This information is used only to provide the core extension features:
- finding and ranking matching jobs on Naukri
- prefilling the user's job application forms
- generating text answers through the user's selected AI provider
- enforcing optional billing or admin access controls configured by the extension owner
- exporting the user's own application history
4. Data Transfers
The extension may send data to the following recipients only when required for the core feature requested by the user:
- naukri.com to load job pages and submit the user's applications
- the AI provider selected or configured by the user, such as Google Gemini, OpenAI, Anthropic, or xAI, to generate answer text
- an optional admin access endpoint configured by the extension owner to verify whether the extension should be available for that installation
- The extension does not sell user data and does not use user data for unrelated advertising.
5. Data Retention and Control
Most extension data is stored locally in the user's browser until the user edits settings, clears data, uninstalls the extension, or exports and deletes their application history.
The user can:
- update or remove saved profile details in the extension settings
- clear application history from the extension
- disable optional billing or admin settings
- uninstall the extension to remove local extension storage
6. Security
The extension stores data in Chrome extension storage and only transmits data over HTTPS endpoints configured by the extension or by the user. Users should still avoid storing secrets they do not want sent to their chosen AI provider or admin endpoint.
7. Remote Code
The extension does not download or execute remote JavaScript, WebAssembly, or other executable code. Data received from remote services is used as data only.
8. Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated when the extension's data practices change. The published privacy policy should always match the current shipped extension behavior.
